Parsons College unveils its web site June 2, 2005
FAIRFIELD , IA – On this the 32 anniversary of the closing of Parsons
College , the committee announced today that a new member innovative web
site has been launched: www.parsonscollege.org.
George C. Jordan III, editor & publisher of The Parsons College NEWSLINE,
said today’s launching coincides with the planned 130th Anniversary
celebration in Fairfield of the founding of the college on Feb. 24, 1875
and the 50th anniversary of the arrival of Dr. Millard G. and Louise
Roberts.
Jordan said that the committee members, David L. Pierce of Venice, Fl,
Carl M. Dye of Chicago, Il, E. Richard Dixon of Montclair, NJ, Darcy
Mellen-Sullivan of Naples, Fl., Nancy (Hendren) Kirby of Ocala, Fl.,
Douglas P. Pocock of Winter Springs, Fl. have long supported a web site
for this closed college that would serve the Roberts planned satellite
colleges including: Hiram Scott in Scottsbluff, NEB,
Lea College, Alberta Lea, MN., Midwestern
College, Denison, IA; John F. Kennedy College, Wahoo and John J.
Pershing College, Beatrice, both of Nebraska; and Artesia, College of,
Artesia, N.M.
